He broke two eggs
The two eggs broken were the ones he fried
The fried eggs were the ones he ate.
So, he had 4 eggs remaining. If you answer 4 eggs, you got it.
Again, he said “I have six eggs” not “I had six eggs”
so it could be said that he had six eggs after his activities which was breaking, frying and eating the two eggs, so it can be said that he has 6 eggs remaining. He said “ I have six eggs”
So if you answer 6 eggs, you got it.
