OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY
A man gave his life to Christ and became regular in church. His Pastor preached a message using 2Cor 5:17 as his text and told the congregation that they are new creation and that their past is gone. They have never existed exist.
The following morning, his landlord knocked on his door to demand for the 15 months house rent he has been owing. The man told his landlord that he is a new creation and that, old things have passed away including his rent which was in the past. He explained to his landlord that it was the old him that was owing, not the new him. His landlord ran and got a cutlass.
